PEEK Tubing
Applied Research PEEK-tubing is exclusively extruded from virgin Victrex-PEEK who is the original manufacturer of PEEK material. There are no additions of any additives to the original PEEK material other than the colour particles in the solid coloured tubing. Striped coloured tubing consists of natural PEEK-tubing where the stripe will be added to the outside of the tubing after extrusion. Generally we remommend to use striped or natural tubing as some solvents may react with the PEEK wallmaterial and colour particles could be dissolved. Please make sure to observe the limitations of PEEK materials as far as solvents, temperature and pressure are concerned. The data shown under "pressure" in the description show the maximum working pressure at room-temperature and for non-destructive solvents.
Please keep in mind that tight bends of the tubing, use of wrong tools for cutting and bad connections may result in mechanical damage to the tubing and thus reduce the pressure stability.
Due to the high chemical stability and the outstanding physical and mechanical performance PEEK may be used in many applications.
